Welcome to AI at Work

Start with the practical AI work loop: task, safe context, AI draft, human review, and work-ready output.

1 · Scenario Hook

Your manager sends you a messy set of meeting notes and asks you to clean them up into action items before the end of the day. You open an AI tool and think: great, I will just paste everything in and let AI handle it. That might help, but only if you guide it the right way.

The AI at Work Loop

Useful AI work moves through a guided loop. AI can draft, but people make the output work-ready.

Work-Ready Output

Guided loop · human judgment stays in control

Human Review is the step that turns AI output into accountable work.

2 · Short Lesson

Understand that AI is a powerful workplace assistant, not an automatic answer machine.

AI is best understood as a powerful work assistant, not an automatic answer machine. It can help you summarize notes, draft messages, organize ideas, create checklists, and spot gaps. But it still needs clear direction, safe context, and human review. The goal of this academy is not to make you an AI engineer. The goal is to help you build better AI work habits: when to use it, what to share, how to ask, how to check the answer, and how to use it efficiently.

3 · Memory Hook

AI is like a very fast assistant on their first week at your company. They can help a lot, but they need clear instructions, the right context, boundaries, and review before important work is used. Fast does not automatically mean finished.

4 · Weak use

Clean this up.

AI does not know what clean means. It might summarize too much, miss action items, change the tone, or invent missing details.

5 · Better use

Turn these meeting notes into a short action-item list. Include owner, task, due date if mentioned, and open questions. Do not invent missing owners or dates. Keep it concise.

It gives AI a clear job, a format, boundaries, and a review expectation.

Rule 1: AI output is a draft, not a decision.

Use AI to help create, organize, and improve work, but review the result before using it, especially when the output affects customers, coworkers, money, policy, safety, or trust.

6 · Try It

Practice the work habit

Your coworker says: AI is great because now I can just let it answer customers for me. What is the best response?
